Project B-school! (Part II)

Nina was not impressed with those outfits.  She demands more to prove that we have a unique point of view to make an entire collection!

Today, she and Heidi demand to see something a la Tuck, Kellogg, and Wharton.  Who am I to say no to fabulousness?

Grab your shears, knitting needles, and muslin, and away with thee!  You have a collection to produce!

The designers are challenged with schools that couldn't be more different.  Each one poses a unique challenge and demands your garment fit with precision and flare.  One size does not fit all.

Wharton.  Think Bond girl.  The competition is fierce and you need a look that is sleek, sophisticated, and highly wearable.  Philadelphia may be off trend, but the Wharton look is classy and form-fitting and has a direct line to NYC. You never know when you'll need to tear it up in the upper west side at a soiree or cocktail hour! So bring on the leather, pull back your hair, fawn your face with a smokey eye, and destroy the competition.  No really.  They are in your way, so bring an extra pair of scissors to slice up your neighbor's outfit.  There can only be one at the top and you are a steely seamstress who knows what she wants and knows how to get it.

Tuck.  Prove we're the one.  Go on, we'll wait.  There's barely enough fabric at the school for 20 people, so weave a tale that has more fabrics and rare earth metals than a Turkish Bazaar. Otherwise you're going to find yourself naked in the woods being chased by bears.  They say Hanover is remote, what they don't know is that it's a secret lair.  We need representatives from all over the world for our stealth operation. Diverse tastes and flavors are our mantra, so wrap your story in dramatic leopard prints from Africa, koala hide from Australia, panda fleece from Asia, and golden sequins from the US.  That's a start; now prove you can find us in the deep dark woods with only a compass and a map.

Kellogg. Your collection must be produced by a team of nimble seamstresses. You must be their peer and their leader.  Working side by side with your compatriots is a labor of love, and they flock to you because of your charm and upbeat attitude. In fact, let's make pants with 12 legs so all 6 of us can share. Oh, the product? Well, make it fashionable and bold and remember, markets perish without marketing, so sell it, girl! Also, shouldn't you be managing 8 other clubs right now? Get to work; you have too much to do!
